SUMMER STROLL PLANNED AT WELDON PEETE PARK TONIGHT

BOWLING GREEN, KY–After calling off last week's planned Summer
Stroll due to a chance of rain and heavy winds, the Board of
Commissioners will continue their annual Summer Stroll series with a
walk on the Greenways and Low Hollow Trails at Weldon Peete Park, just
off of Old Louisville Road, tonight, June 24.  Walkers will meet at
6:00 p.m. at the Low Hollow Trail kiosk located on the interior of the
park.

Tonight's stroll will be hosted by members of the Greenways Commission
and Southwest Kentucky Mountain Bike Association, along with other
riverfront enthusiasts.  The public is welcome to attend and get a look
at our great riverfront facilities.  The Stroll will also give
attendees the opportunity to talk one on one with officials and point
out the riverfront's opportunities, accomplishments, and concerns.

This is the 13th consecutive season for Summer Strolls.  The next
Summer Stroll is scheduled for Monday, July 1 at Glen Lily Road and
Durbin Drive in the West End Neighborhood.

While a quorum of the Board of Commissioners may be present at tonight's
Stroll, no formal action will be taken.   For more information about
other neighborhood programming, call the City's Neighborhood Services
Office at 393-3674.
